These games were some of the first I played which really could show what great programming could accomplish on the Genesis hardware. The boss stages on the Vectorman 1 are really something to see. Especially that one with the track sequence and the boss hanging from it. Really great sound and Music to go along with.
I actually prefer the graphics in the first one to that of the second one. The second one simply adds on to the first with more power ups but in that process the backgrounds don't seem as well done as the first game. Still there are some Psuedo 3D effects for some parts of the game..and any Psuedo 3D on the Genesis is a good thing. |
