Defeat the Empire in this fast-paced shootout sequel to Thunder Force II(tm). Normally, you get 4 fighters, but you can dial in your choice of a number with Codes 2 thru 5. With Code 10, you can keep special weapon power when you lose a fighter. You will lose the current selection, but the weapon is still shown on the screen and you can select it again. Code 11 lets you start with all special weapons available, including sever, lancer, wave, fire and hunter. With Game Genie(tm) in your arsenal, you should have no problem defending the galaxy!

Cheats For Thunder Force 3
#	Type	Description
1	Options Select	Press and hold A, B, and C at the title screen, and press Start. This allows selecting the ship speed, difficulty, and sound effects.
2	Full Weapons	To select the super weapons without having to find them, pause the game and enter this sequence: Press Up on the directional pad 10 times, press B once, press Down twice, and then press B until your weapon meter is full. Press A to get the Claw weapon.
3	Wave and Wink	On the ending sequence of the game, press C and your character's hands wave and eyes wink.
4	Shoot All Weapons	If you have the Arcade Power Stick and a lot of different weapons, you can set C on rapid fire while shooing with B, allowing you to shoot all available weapons at once.

PREMISE:          This this the shooter series for the Genesis that got a
                  a lot of attention when it came out.  It's your basic
                  blast-any-thing-that-moves sci-fi side-scrolling shooter,
                  but with a reputation for gaming excellence.

IMPRESSIONS:      Fairly decent R-Type clones that get better as the series
                  advances.  Decent weapons, impressive graphics, intense
                  gameplay.

VARIATIONS:       The first game in the series, Thunder Force, is not
                  available separately for the Genesis.  There is also a
                  derivant called Thunder Spirits that was made for the
                  SNES, although it is generally acknowledged to be an
                  inferior product.

                  Thunder Force 2 (1989, one of the few sequels that
                    incorporated its ancestor into itself - the top-down
                    down sequences are reminsecent of Bosconian, the side-
                    scroll sequences smack strongly of R-Type)
                  Thunder Force 3 (1990, the top-down view is now gone,
                    leaving only the side-scroll game - better graphics
                    and a slightly enhanced weapons system)
                  Thunder Force 4 (1992, also known as Lightning Force -
                    best of the lot, but still not as good as R-Type)
