9. PROJECTOR

Since the projectorhas been adjusted at the time of shipment, avoid making further adjustmentswithout a good reason.

The projector issubject to color deviation due to Convergence deviation caused by the geomagnitismat the time of installation, location, and peripheral magnetic field. Afterthe installation of machine, and before commencing operation, check forConvergence deviation and if deviated, make adjustments.

Fine adjustments are stored in the Projector. Pressing the Fine AdjustmentSW (Convergence Adjustment) results in entering the Fine Adjustment mode,and this may cause the stored fine adjustment to be changed. During workother than for adjustment, should you touch the Fine Adjustment SW by mistake,immediately turn power off by using the main SW and then turn it back onagain. If any distortion of color deviation is found in the test mode andadjustments are needed, use the specified adjustment knob, or perform adjustmentby remote control. To find the adjustment knob, move Cabinet DX and removethe PTV Front Service Door by using the procedure opposite the one for installingand assembling. In some cases a cover is installed to the adjustment knobs.Remove the cover.

9 - 1 CLEANING THE SCREEN

Since the projectorscreen is susceptible to damage, pay careful attention to it's handling.When cleaning, refrain from using water or volatile chemical.

When the screen surface becomes dirty with dust, etc., clean it by usinga soft cloth such s gauze. When water, and volatile chemicals such as benzene,thinner, etc., spill on the screen surface, it may be subject to damage,therefore, do not use them. Also, since the surfaces are susceptible todamage, refrain from rubbing them with a hard material or using a duster.
