Hints For Sword Of Vermilion
#Description
1Increase Armor Class - In the cave to the east of Hastings, you'll find the Old Nick armor. Don't equip it yet, instead head back to Swaffham to find Raphael's Stick. Now put on the Old Nick armor - your armor class will go up, but you'll be cursed. Use Raphael's Stick to undo the curse. You'll notice that your armor class is now lower. Take the armor off, then repeat the entire process of equipping the armor, using the stick, and removing it. Do this until your armor class is below zero. Your armor class should then become very high. Keep taking off and putting on the armor until your armor class once again goes below zero. Now, you should have an armor class of more than 9000! Your character is almost invincible, taking only one damage point per hit no matter who you're fighting - even Tsarkon himself!

A strange hybrid, but fun game none the less (Score: 1)

Sword of Vermillion was an original concept, not in story(which has been told in many different forms), but in gameplay concept. You see, Sword of Vermillion isn't just another turn based rpg. On the outside, everything like a normal rpg, but when you get into battle, it turns into a screen with baddies on it that you kill in realtime ala Zelda. And you on the overworld on a maze like screen with a 1st person perspective. And when you fight a boss, it turns into a side scroller perspective. Now, some of you might not like this, but any rpg/adventure fan will become addicted, and have fun as well. The music is average rpg fair and the sound is old genesis style. But the gameplay is innovative and fun. And that's what counts, so if your in for a challenge, go play Sword of Vermillion. I give it an 8.

The battles are probably my favorite part of the game. It's all real-time fighting. No entering your commands and hoping they turn out the way you had planned. I didn't much like the first-person mazes though, especially that one that puts you in the dark.

one of the BEST RPG games ever, ranks up there with the first four DRAGON WARRIOR games for NEC and the first THREE ZELDA games, two for NEC and the one for SNEC.
