NAME: Super Mario World
AUTHOR/VENDOR: Seichen?
RELEASED: 1997
TYPE: Platform
LANGUAGE: English

PREMISE: This is a Hong Kong bootleg hack that is supposed to be
Super Mario World, but plays more like Super Mario 2 or
The Lost Levels. It is not authorized nor sanctioned by
Nintendo. Must be tete-a-tete for the Nintendo Sonic
                  game, eh?

IMPRESSIONS: A rushed hack, and it shows. Game control is off, lots
of little details in the REAL game is missing, and what's
that SUPER MARIO BROS sign doing in there as a second
title screen? The whole thing winds up looking and
feeling like a port of the public domain game Mario VGA.
Nintendo is not happy about the existence of this
unlicensed port, and it's easy to understand why.

And it isn't that great, I mean, the graphics look nice, but mario can only throw boxes! What ever this game was based off(which I don't know at the moment) wasn't that great of a game to begin with. Avoid, it's not even Super Mario World! I give it a 3.

I've played this game from beginning to end, dispite it being a rip off, it follows it's own gameplay format, which is quite a bit like Chip n' Dale, Rescue Rangers for the NES. It's very challenging, and actually has a long ending for a pirate game. I would hardly call it a port, because when you get into the game further, it resembles nothing of a mario game. Plus good bosses, good looking graphics, and just a tiny bit of oddness. I would have bought this had it been legit. (Hell, I'd buy it if I could find a copy)

Has anyone seen that there's actually another version of Super Mario Bros out there? It's actually a port of the original Super Mario Bros. that came in the Mario Allstars SNES game. I saw it once on ebay, but lost the auction. The guy selling it said it was pretty cool. Would love to even see a rom version of it at this point.

i think super mario is the best hero character to play with and should be featured in games like donkey kong games (besides jumpman vs donkey kong) zelda they already have characters that resemble mario and luigi so just put them there you'll have better sales than in your whole career trust me
