PREMISE:          You are a descendant of Maxim the hero, who long ago
                  saved the world from the Sinistrals.  Now, monster
                  attacks are on the rise, and they seem to be connected
                  somehow with the sudden appearance of an amnesiatic
                  young girl.  Could these both have something to do with
                  the rumored return of the Sinistrals?

IMPRESSIONS:      This legendary SNES RPG was scheduled for release on
                  the Genesis.  Work was already well underway when the
                  project was cancelled in mid-1995 for reasons unknown.
                  Protos are known to exist.

VARIATIONS:       Estpolis Bibliographica (original Japanese title), also
                  sometimes referred to as Estpolis Denki

EGM used to have an ad for Lufia on genesis, no screeshots, just a black backround with the Lufia title on it saying coming soon. It's very very strange for an rpg to be released on genesis and snes. Only rpg I can think of is Shadowrun, but that game was made by diffent companies on each system. I enjoyed the Lufia series on snes, I wish we could have seen it on genesis. *sniff* :(
