Excerpt from Genesis Game Guide by The Scribe

NAME: The Jungle Book
AUTHOR/VENDOR: Eurocom/Disney Software/Virgin Interactive
RELEASED: 1994
TYPE: Platform
LANGUAGE: English and French?

PREMISE: Mogowli, the jungle boy raised by wolves from birth and
cared for by his animal mentors, must find his way back
to civilization. Based on the classic Disney animated
film, itself inspired by the tales of British author
                  Rudyard Kipling.

IMPRESSIONS: Earthworm Jim does Pitfall. Visually stunning, but
average gameplay - about what we've come to expect in a
Disney title. Still, the kids didn't seem to mind....

VARIATIONS: Le Livre de la Jungle (French release?)

I had this game when i was a kid.
It's not a French version nor it's in French.
I'm from Spain and the cover of my game said "El libro de la selva", which is the title in Spanish. It was just the cover, as when you insert the game all the text was in English. The same goes with the French release of the game.

Pimp Daddy has F'n Spoken:

The JungleBook is pretty much a little-more-than-beyond-average type of platformer.

The gameplay is not at all related to the majority of other Disney released titles.

Your main character, Mobli - or whatever his name is, is well animated and moves swiftly and smoothly across the screen, kind of like Earthworm Jim...

You can swing from vines, hang from trees, it's basically entertaining in that tense. The music is good, nothing special but nothing bad.

The graphics like I said are a bit above average, the only major flaw I've found from this title personally, is the fact that it's pretty challenging, even on 'Easy' mode. But with a little patience and skill, I'm sure it won't decrease the fun value.

I'd give it an 8 out of 10. Good title.
