PREMISE:          Compilation of the three games in the Ninja Gaiden
                  series, which were originally released on the NES.

IMPRESSIONS:      A solid action game, with stellar graphics (in most
                  stages, anyway) and a variety of weapons.  The story is
                  told intermission-style between stages with awesome
                  cinemas.  Unfortunately, the latter stages tend to be
                  frustratingly hard. (Rage Games)

VARIATIONS:       Ninja Ryukenden Tomoe is the original Japanese name.  The
                  Genesis release is often referred to as the Ninja Gaiden
                  Trilogy for obvious reasons.

Yeah, the arcade version was alright, but just another clone. It's funny that the impressions and the variations are talking about different games altogether. This megadrive game is a side scroller beat em up reminiscent of Double Dragon. Pretty average stuff, but I guess it's ok. I give it a 6

Go check out the original Ninja Gaiden series for nes! Don't get the snes trilogy pack unless you need a password system because they butchured the music!

From the research I have done, this game was never released for the MegaDrive at all. I have never seen a copy of the case or manual, only these same screen shots. Can anyone tell me different?

Where the hell is this game!? This can't be a PD rom. But still, I have not seen even a picture of the cartridge or case. I guess this game is such a big collector's item that noone except maybe the guy who ripped the rom has ever actually seen the game.

I reckon that this is one of those Hong Kong bootlegs, played the ROM and again like every Sega computer ROM it didn't play that well and is a poor imitation of the origional game but I reckon if it does exist in cart form it would be one to get as it did show great promise.
