This is a very challenging top-view, run-around-and-shoot game that features great weapons and power-ups. You and your heroes Rifle, Burner, Launcher, Laser and Stet have fun trying to penetrate enemy lines on top-secret missions for Uncle Sam. There are lots of enemies, so why not dial in almost infinite life with MERC Code 2, or some heavy-duty weaponry and firepower with some of these other MERC codes. Keep in mind that with Codes 22 thru 25, power levels are fixed at the chosen level through the whole round, and power-ups may not have an effect.

Cheats For Mercs
#	Type	Description
1	Faster Enemies	To enter a really challenging game, go to the original mode and press A, B, and C at the same time. While holding these down, press Start and you will enter a tough battle, as your enemies are now faster (as well as more intelligent). Use your military skills to outwit this new force of power and corruption.

PREMISE:          The rogue nation of Quira has recently developed the
                  ability to build and deploy ballistic missiles.  Fearing
                  that this would upset the global balance of power, the
                  United States sends two of its Wolf Force spec-ops troops
                  to take out this threat (sigh - there go those nosy
                  Americans again, telling the world what they should and
                  should not do - so hypocritical, those bullies).  This
                  of course will involve lots of shooting and blowing stuff
                  up, and these "mercs" love that sort of thing....

IMPRESSIONS:      A Commando clone with lame graphics and gameplay.  Don't
                  bother. (Rage Games)

VARIATIONS:       The Japanese version is known as Commando 2.  It appears
                  to be a sequel to the arcade verion of the same name.
