PREMISE:          Cricket is the British sporting institution from which
                  the American game of baseball was derived.  That said,
                  most Americans find cricket about as interesting as
                  watching the grass grow.  A YACEG cricket sim from
                  overseas featuring one of the best batsmen of the sport.

IMPRESSIONS:      Simplistic graphics compared with other games, but
                  fantastic gameplay.  If you're not willing to judge this
                  game on its own merits, then avoid it like the plague.
                  Otherwise, it gives fans of the sport hours of fun.

VARIATIONS:       Brian Lara Cricket (1994?, original release)
                  Brian Lara Cricket 96 (1996, improved graphics and game
                    engine - also re-released in a 1997 YACEG variant in
                    Australia as Shane Warne Cricket)

The only good thing about cricket is that you can drink beer while the match goes on and on and on.....

However this game actually manages to be fun in spite of the fact its about Cricket!

Fantasic 2 player game, successfully emulates the mechanics of cricket... without the boredom!
Gameplay is simple, controls are simple, the graphics and sound are just workable but do the job.
This is a top game made even better 'cause my mate can't beat me in it!

Never played it, but its probably crap, Australians love this sport and the English peope who still like fox-hunting no doubt will also love it. It pains me when England get beat at football (soccer) cricket however. no-one even bothers to cover on the news or in the papers because of the lack of interest, instead it is left for saddos at party's to talk about because they only know dull things. If your'e going to try to make a dull game look good, then how about a game about rounders?
