Aladdin (Score: 1) by Mr_KHaKi (ToNe@YoMommaHouse.com) on Wednesday, June 27 @ 08:55:07 EDT (User Info) http://www.tonism.cjb.net | If I'm correct, Sega's version of Aladdin used animations from the Disney's (or it was produced in-house), either way it was better than Capcom's SNES version.
From the animation throught gameplay. Everything was lovely. While the SNES version was just a crossbreed of Prince of Persia & Mario (jump on head to kill enemy), the MD version was more mature. Plain action. Runnin' & slashin'. It was just like 'playing' the cartoon. And I didn't even mentioned the humour!
This is (dare I say it) a classic masterpiece.
It's a comical, fun game with humour true to its movie-counterpart. Play it! |

Terrific use of the movie's brand of humour and even a couple of sub games to break up the action.
However, it's WAY too easy. The game plies you with lives and continues, allowing you to romp through it in one sitting.
Another potentially great game marred by the trivial challenge it poses. |

However, the generic gameplay is quite enjoyable, but that's not the half of the game's high points---the character animation is superb. This could quite possibly be the game that has the best graphics for the Genesis, with the slight exception of the Vectorman titles. This is definitely better than Capcom's SNES Alladdin attempt, which has even more generic gameplay, and no impressive animation to back it up. |

Also, in one of the desert levels there is a set of Mickey Mouse ears haning on a clothesline. If you position Aladdin so it looks like he's wearing them, you get an extra life! |

You get to use your sword or throw apples at people, jump on camels to make them hurl spit at your enemies. This game is great. Don't pass this one up because you think it is just for little kids. Get it, try it, and I know you will like it. |
