PREMISE:          The Red Skull is out to conquer the world once again
                  (like he ever does anything else), so it's up to Captain
                  America and the Avengers to stop him and his army of
                  thugs.  Inspired by the DC Comics serials.

IMPRESSIONS:      A sad platform beat-'em-up that could be a lot better
                  than it actually is.  Gameplay is decent enough, but the
                  graphics are rough and the bad sound gets on your nerves
                  after a while.  Fans of the comic books will like it, but
                  that's about it.

what a good game! i loved the arcade version.. but for sega its extreamly great! Captain America! America Needs your help! With 3 buttons its pretty easy to win! thees only 4 levels :(

*cough* It's based off MARVEL, not DC Comics... *cough*

That aside I've played it. Apart from the annoying voiceover that makes you want to laugh and cry all at once, it's not too bad a game. A shame that my memory of the arcade version seemed to look worlds better...

Also fun for the cameo appearances of such Avengers as Quick-Silver and Namor if I remember rightly...

Looking at those pics shows the port isn't all that bad for a 32bit arcade to 16bit console! (Shame the source game wasn't all that great to begin with).
Also sorry to be a comic geek, but Captain America and the Avengers are MARVEL characters! :-)

Hey. Anyone remember that promotional Captain America comic that the lung association gave about asthma. Captain America vs. the Asthma Monster I believe. I still have fond memories of that comic. Sorta wished that Captain America would've used pot on the monster though. Would've saved time.

Captain America & the Avengers Should be Re-Released For Play station 2, X-box, Nintendo Game cube & game boy advance. It should Have Vision's New Style form From The New Marvel Comics S
Series. It will be for 1 or 4 players only

This is a fun 1 or 2 player game, I miss the old co-operation games of old, Final Fight, streets of Rage, Two Crude Dudes..... Great stuff. It's just not the same anymore. Co-op games are usually restricted to sad people on the net.
