NAME: Star Trek: The Next Generation - "Echoes From the Past"
AUTHOR/VENDOR: Spectrum Holobyte
RELEASED: 1994
TYPE: RPG
LANGUAGE: English

PREMISE: "Captain's log. It has been two days since Starfleet
cancelled our leave on Hobson Delta II. The Enterprise
has been sent to the Neutral Zone to monitor new Romulan
activity, which is under the premise of a search for a
lost research team. While the crew is unaware of the
full extent of our orders, they can read a star chart
as well as I. They know where we are...."

IMPRESSIONS: Maneuver your favorite members of the Enterprise crew in
away-team missions around various sites, using their

few flight simulator scenes aboard the ship as well.
Trekkies will grok this one, but the rest of us will need
a hint book to get anywhere. (Rage Games)

This version of the game is much better than the SNES version for the simple fact that this one has a save feature and the SNES one doesn't. The ship's computer has a whole bunch of info on the history of the Federation and the Enterprise and warpholes, anomolies, and all of that kind of Star Trek stuff. The ship's computer alone is worth checking out. A cool thing about this game is that if a certain part of the ship was damage during a battle, that part won't work until you fix it. So if you don't fix the view-screen, the picture will flicker with static. Another cool thing is that you can choose your reply when talking or negotiating with others. Things will turn out different ways depending on the way you reply. One of the bad things about this game are the very difficult mazes, particularly the mine caves (WHY DID THEY MAKE THEM SO HARD???). Hard as heck, but I liked it cause I like the show.

Where do you save at? I've been trying to beat it for the past month. I'm a star trek fan but this game really ticks me off! Oh yeah if anybody out there has any codes please share them. I can trade codes for codes too. Note to the non trekkie if you get this game, you are in for some problems!

Hey, I was wondering. Where can I find a ROM of this game? I played it once, but it got deleted accidentally. It's a good game. If anyone knows where I can find a ROM-Version of it, or if anyone has a ROM of it, please contact me at Renzian@hotmail.com
