Excerpt from Genesis Game Guide by The Scribe

NAME: El Viento
AUTHOR/VENDOR: Renovation
RELEASED: 1991
TYPE: Action
LANGUAGE: English and Japanese

PREMISE: From the makers of the Valis series comes the tale of
a young female warrior, an expert with her custom
boomerang, who in 1928 travels to New York on a personal
vendetta against a mob boss and his henchmen.

IMPRESSIONS: This is yet another one of those impossibly plotted
Japanese platformers in which the anime-style cinemas
are better than the game itself. Boomerangs against
Tommy guns and Harleys? Come on, get real! Gameplay
and music are decent, but not awe-inspiring. I didn't
much care for the Valis series, and I don't for this
                  game, either

VARIATIONS:       A sequel, Annet Fututabi, was released for the Mega CD;
see separate entry for more details.

Another awesome platformer from renovation. definatly try this, it has some cool features. although kinda strange, the main hero is able to outrun cars with a speeding ability and use magic spells along with two bommerangs which can be fired. a must if you were a valis fan.

Good platformer but not THAT good. Personaly I don't like the anime style of this game and the mood is pretty dark, it's lacking colors and fun. This game is quite challenging too, it shows no mercy for the player.
