#CodeDescription
Help the Kid save the kids from Heady Metal and the video game that captures players that lose at it. You'll need help, too--this is one of the toughest games around. It has a zillion levels, so key in Codes 10 thru 80 and go exploring. Code 89 protects you from most hits, but the walls of drills, spikes, and some ice can still kill you. To give yourself a really rough challenge, try finishing the game using Code 1 for a one-minute timer, or Code 91 for one minute on each clock you pick up. Codes 94 thru 103 are provided for their fun factor only--not for help in completing the game, since in certain cases you can't complete a level without having the abilities of a particular character. But they are lots of good, clean fun!

Of all the Genesis games, this was the most awe inspiring. When I first played this game I was completely amazed. I had rented it after seeing a strategy section in a Sega Visions magazine. That particular issue claim over 100 levels.

When you start it up, just the introduction sweeps you into the video game, with the blocks turning into the castle tower with the space background. The levels were fun, frustrating, and for the most part well designed. The music is very fitting also.

Too bad there was never a second game, or maybe a re-release on the PC with a level editor, that would be awesome, a Kid Chamleon game with level editor...

One of my first Genesis Games... cool Platform game - not as fast as Sonic. But if you don't have it, you should buy it. 8,5

This game is amazing. However, there's a bug on the second last level. On one of the bits where the steel blocks force you into the floor (or ceiling) if you're the surfer, then you can get squished and the game seizes. This can be VERY annoying!

The only annoying thing aboit Kid Chameleon is that there is no save feature, or even a secret level select cheat. It sucks that you have to start all over every time you play, but the enjoyment factor of the game is still there. I especially like the Maniaxe form--there's just something about a hockey mask and an axe that makes me feel all warm and sunny inside.

I think that this is an ace game and you should definately try it out, especially if you cannot get your hands on the ultra rare and superior Doraemon - which is the best game of its type on the Megadrive.

Sure the graphics are ancient, but then again, do graphics make a game? Nope. This game has tons of variety, by having more levels than even super mario world. You get to morph into many different forms, like a samurai, jason, a tank, and lots more. This truly makes the game more fun. The only problem I see with Kid Chameleon is the lack of a save feature. With all the levels in this game, there'd have to be at least a password system. Ah well, that's what save states on emulators are for! The story is funny 80's style schlock. It's a classic genesis game, go play it! I give it a 8.5
