NAME: Cadash
AUTHOR/VENDOR: Taito
RELEASED: 1992
TYPE: Action
LANGUAGE: English

PREMISE: "Welcome!" says the king, "Long have I awaited your
arrival. My kingdom of Dirzar was once a peaceful place
until the Balrog came. He has abducted my daughter and
laid waste to the land. Now I must trust in you to bring
her back to me safely and rid us of this terror." With
that, you begin your quest as either warrior or magician
to rid the land of the evil Balrog. A scaled-down port
                  of the hit arcade game.

IMPRESSIONS: A side-scroll fantasy platformer that strives for RPG
variety but utimately fails. The RPG element tends to
slow down the game, as it needlessly complicates the
power-up process. If they had just stuck to the arcade
element, then Taito might have had something here.

A fun game, but the TG-16 version is better (Score: 1)

Cadash is an enjoyable action game with rpg elements thrown in. But the thing is, The TG-16 version had more characters to pick from. This is a decent action game, but not as good as Dahna. Nice little tunes though :) I give it a 7

This is an Action/RPG. While not all that great in either category, it's still pretty fun if you like that genre of games. (Personally, I love em). The graphics are weak, and there aren't many moves to speak of, but this is actually an ok game if you have an afternoon to spare. There are no saves, but the game is a little short so it doesn't matter much, especially since you can just use save-states (I wish I had save-states when I played it way back when). This game reminds me of Faxanadu for the old NES. Very similar, except for the fact that there isn't nearly as much to do, and there aren't nearly as many items in this one as in Faxanadu. But overall, it's ok for a quick play through. After that, there's nothing new.

I found the RPG elements to be the only saving factor in this otherwise very-ordinary platformer. The acquisition of additional hit points and more powerful weapons and the like make it interesting enough to want to play through to the end, though it's unlikely you'll want to do that more than once. It's also a bit easy, which makes it good for those who enjoy action games but don't have the reflexes of a fly who's been swimming in your Mountain Dew.

This is a fun action-rpg with a great two player mode. It is side-wieved and a bit like Wonderboy, but more darker grafics! A quite good game you should try!

A good combination of platformer and RPG, but this is a game, which was not worth to buy it. You just play it through once and thats it. Well I donīt know is this good or bad thing, that in 8 or 16 bit games you can kill the same enemies for many times. Same here, you can kill a monster, then come again and kill again. In that way there is an unlimited experience to get.
