Excerpt from Genesis Game Guide by The Scribe

NAME: Mega Bomberman
AUTHOR/VENDOR: Hudson Soft
RELEASED: 1994
TYPE: Action
LANGUAGE: English

PREMISE: What plot? While the Bomberman addicts will launch into
this whole long spiel about the little fella, his world,
and his many friends and foes, here's the premise in its
basics. This is a multiplayer action game in which the
object is to clear a maze of obstacles. The fun come out
of laying bombs (hence the title) to blow up obstacles in
your path, loose monsters, and (of course) your fellow
opponents (snicker, snicker). Hidden power-ups under
some of the obstacles are revealed when you clear them,
and come in various flavors. The first one to the exit
in the center of the playing field wins. It's a souped-
up version of Pengo that substitutes high explosives for
the moving ice blocks, and it's a blast!

IMPRESSIONS: One player mode is awful - plant a bomb, watch it blow
up, then move on. Start adding other players, though,
and the ensuing chaos will keep everybody up all night.
While lacking the sophistication of some of the later
SNES releases, it's still a ton of fun. (Rage Games)

VARIATIONS: Sometimes referred to as Bomberman 94. See the separate
Bomberman entry for more information on the develpment of
the Genesis port of this popular game.

Good job, hudson had bring this best game from PCengine to Genesis.

There are nearly no different between this game with PC engine one. Story/game play/characters are the same.

The game play of this game is about to use your timed bomb to kill enemy (like pacman, but only to kill the enemy), you may also get hurt from the bomb.

The favourite part of this game for me is the multiplayers players competition. You and three others players or computer players, "bomb" each others.
This game is excellent for test your alertness! you must got much fun from that!

Strangely enough, one of the most underrated games on the Genesis. Using the familar mix of bomb-blasting and baddie killing the game is great.

However, get yourself a multitap, three friends, four controllers and a copy of the game, then the game becomes fantastic. One of the few games the multi-tap adds gameplay and doesn't add chaos.

The battle mode is fantastic. If you see this game cheap - buy it.

This game is awesome with a multitap. Even if you only have 2 other friends with you, it's still fun because the one computer is a challenge.

I always liked the way that you could choose the kind of character the computer would play, i.e a Fat Bomber is greedy for power-ups, etc.

Also I noticed that all Red ever did was kill itself on it's first go.
