NAME: Zool - Ninja from the Nth Dimension
AUTHOR/VENDOR: Gremlin/Electronic Arts
RELEASED: 1991
TYPE: Platform
LANGUAGE: English

PREMISE: Meet Zool the Ninja - faster than a speeding Sonic, more
powerful than Ken the Street Fighter, able to leap tall
fighting mecha in a single bound! Yes, it's Zool -
strange visitor from another world who has crash-landed
on the very planet he was supposed to be rescuing! Can
                  he still save the day?

IMPRESSIONS: This neat little Sonic clone was quite popular when it
was originally released for the almighty Amiga, as Sega
was rather reluctant at that time to port Sonic away from
the Genesis. It seems a bit childish now that there are
so many other good titles to compete with it, but it's
                  still worth the look.

Zool is a great game! "It kicks ass and kicks yours even more" as my friend Rehan would say, although he hasn't actually commented on the game yet. There is also a sequel on Atari Jaguar. I think will be one of the first game's I'll get for Jaguar when if I purchase it soon (maybe).

The sequel came out on the Amiga and CD32 first...and you could play as Zooz, the female Zool who was much better!

Ah, this game rocks. In the original Amiga version there was a hidden section on the first level, and the cand contained within spelled out "GAMESMASTER", the name of a popular TV show and a magazine (and the mag is still going!), however I'm not sure if this made it into the conversion...
