NAME: College Football's National Championship (2 titles)
AUTHOR/VENDOR: Sega Sports
RELEASED: various
TYPE: Sports (football)
LANGUAGE: English

PREMISE: Enjoy some good ol'-fashioned college football as you
relive past seasons with the top 32 NCAA teams for a
                  given year.

IMPRESSIONS: This stands out from the pack because when you first slip
into it, you'll think you're going blind...Sega's been
toying with the zoom feature for years, but never has it
worked so seamlessly.... I also like the locker room
scene...and having to wait until the last minute to know
which side you'll be playing on. (Electric Playground)

VARIOUS: Uses the same game engine as comparable entries in the
Sega NFL Football series; see separate entry for more
                  info.

A great series based mainly upon Sega's excellent NFL 94. It plays almost exactly the same on the field except both I and II have four player support with the multitap, unfortunately not in NFL 94. Also, the college game adds a more college style playbook with different offenses for each school though it's still dumbed down from NFL 94. There is also some basic 6-button support added, though mainly for taunts so nothing really useful.

If you can't decide, go with version I. Both games play the same but version II is missing the live play by play (sports talk) feature.
