the first one really kicked ass and had one of the coolest soundtracks on the megadrive! the moves were quality and the addictiveness prevented me seeing the sun for a whole summer!
part ii: i.m.o the best game ever made, well at least up there with cannon fodder, swos and a few others. the moves were better, the levels much improved, the special moves personalized, the sountrack just as good. the final tune at that plays after you beat mr.x (was that his name?) was just awesome - apparantly that guy who made it actually released it in japan on cd!!! well that song still gives me goosebumps and reminds how much i still love the old mega drive. what a great console. maybe my ps2 and x box have better graphics, bigger levels etc but many of the games can never match the playability of streets of rage II.
