6. SHIFT LEVER
In the test mode, if the shift lever's sw can not be inputtedsatisfactorily, replace the switch. Apply greasing to the mechanism'ssliding portions once every three months. When performing thiswork, remove the shift lever unit.
In order to prevent an electric shock and short circuit, be sure to turn off power before performing work.Be careful so as not to damage wiring. Damaged wiring can causeelectric shock or short circuits.
6 - 1 REMOVING THE SHIFT LEVER
Turn the power switch off. Remove the 4 tamperproof screwsto lift the shift lever unit. Disconnect the connector to removethe shift lever unit. When re-installing, follow the oppositeprocedure. This time, be sure that "DOWN'' appears on theupper part as shown.
